HOW CIPP WORKS
A new pipe inside the existing line.
Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) forms a structural liner within an eligible sewer pipe, often with less excavation than full-length replacement.
EXISTING CONDITION
Roots, cracks, or separated joints may affect an eligible sewer line.
PREPARED PIPE
The eligible pipe is cleaned and mechanically prepared. Conditions that need another repair path are addressed separately.
INSTALLED STRUCTURAL LINER
For qualifying installations, a resin-saturated liner is installed and cured with Bluelight LED technology within the prepared pipe.

Suitability depends on pipe condition, grade, access, and project requirements. Some projects need targeted excavation or another repair method. Connections are addressed as required, followed by a final camera review.
BLUELIGHT LED CIPP TECHNOLOGY
Controlled placement. LED curing.
The liner is positioned before blue LED light activates the cure. Computer-controlled pullback and an integrated camera support the curing process for qualifying installations.
What does rapid curing mean?
Manufacturer-published information describes a qualifying 50-foot liner curing in under 12 minutes. That figure refers only to the liner-curing phase, not the total project. Evaluation, preparation, installation, connections, and verification take additional time. Actual results vary by project, approved liner specification, and field conditions.

Expected service life is an engineering and performance benchmark, not a guarantee of a specific lifespan. Actual performance depends on liner design, host-pipe condition, installation quality, use, maintenance, external loads, soil and groundwater conditions, and other project-specific factors.

Will you need to dig up my yard?
Not always. Many eligible CIPP projects use existing access or limited new access, helping preserve more of the yard, driveway, landscaping, flooring, or other finished surfaces. Some projects still need a cleanout, targeted excavation, spot repair, or full replacement.
How long does a CIPP project take?
Project timing depends on cleaning, preparation, access, liner length, curing, branch connections, inspections, and any excavation or restoration required. We provide an expected schedule after evaluating the line and defining the scope.
How long does CIPP pipe lining last?
A properly designed, installed, and tested CIPP lateral has an industry life-expectancy benchmark of 50 years or more. NASSCO identifies a minimum 50-year life expectancy for properly executed lateral CIPP, and U.S. EPA long-term evaluations have produced results consistent with reaching the typical 50-year design-life benchmark and potentially beyond. Actual service life depends on liner design, installation quality, host-pipe condition, use, maintenance, external conditions, and other project-specific factors.
Is trenchless sewer repair cheaper than excavation?
It can be, especially when CIPP avoids extensive excavation and surface restoration, but cost is project-specific. Depth, access, pipe condition, cleaning, liner length, permits, inspections, and the repair method all affect the final price.
Will my project require a permit or licensed trade contractor?
Requirements vary by location, project scope, and whether the work affects a regulated plumbing system, public right-of-way, or utility district. Before work begins, the project plan identifies applicable contractor, permit, inspection, utility-locate, and right-of-way requirements. When a portion of the project requires a licensed trade contractor, the final scope identifies the responsible contractor and permit path for that work.
Who performs work that requires a plumbing or other trade license?
Any portion of a project that legally requires a plumbing or other trade license is performed by the appropriately licensed contractor responsible for that scope under the applicable permits and inspections.
